6 - [voice] Leaving the hospital for a bit

Guess the sun's finally back out. That's a bit of a relief, at least.  I'm heading over to check on the apartment and grab some extra clothes.

I'll be returning to the hospital soon though, since I don't want to leave Mai alone and [a soft noise of irritation] apparently there's some question revolving around my own ability to move around.  Whatever, I'm fine.  And I'll finally be getting this stupid chip out tomorrow.

[a pause--perhaps he forgot the communicator on again--and uneven footsteps as if with a bit of a limp, then the quiet jingle of keys for a few moments before...]


TOPH! What the did you do to my door?! I know it was you!

[Gives an annoyed growl] Oh, yes, I just love sightseeing when I can barely walk. However did you know?

[Rolls his eyes and gestures a bit with his hand, though it's kind of in vain since his arm's still around Haru's shoulders] We go down back the way we came on Horton and --ow--then turn right on Lander.

Are you sure you're fine walking? [ He glanced at him a little worried but ignored it for now. He followed the directions that he was given and headed towards Horton street.]

That's beside the point. I'm fine walking. Just...hurry up and get me there before I bleed to death.

Alright. [ He nodded his head and adjusted the the straps on his shoulder. With one big grab he picked up Zuko by his waist and held him on his free shoulder. A slight grunt came out of his mouth as he started walking faster.]

[Zuko lets out a strangled yelp as he's suddenly swung up onto Haru's shoulder, joining his bag and swords]

Hey, what the--? Ow, cut it out! Haru!

[There goes the rest of his pride. Arrgh! He struggles a bit, but with the added danger of falling off added to the pain, it's not much of a struggle]

You said faster. This is the only way. [ He made sure to have a good grip on Zuko and tried to make it as gentle as possible. He was finally on the right track and could spot the hospital from a distance.]

[He doesn't bother finishing the thought because there are many things he wants to call Haru right now, but a small part of him remembers that he's being helped, so he gives up struggling and resigns himself to living a life of shame if they run into anyone. But, dammit, it really is faster this way]

Not fond of nicknames? [ Smiles back at him and slowly slides him down to his feet once they stood in front of the hospital.]

[Grumbles unintelligibly as he is set down--or rather, because he has to be set down in the first place--and takes his things back from Haru, shuffling into the hospital muttering:]
