Mai's doing alright, though she still has to recover quite a bit before she can move around.

He was alive in our world before arriving here. A guardian of death is as his title implies.

Kurosaki Hisoka is a guardian of death, yes. And I would not claim to be an expert in the bureaucracy of the afterlife, but from what I know they take the souls of the dead back with them.

No, Kurosaki Hisoka died of an illness. An unknown degenerative cell disease.
