☼ First Flame ☼ [video]
[ Shuffling, grumbling, disoriented groaning and just lots of sky and ice and useless things as the Dreamberry goes unnoticed on the frozen ground. And then a disheveled sort of Zuko pops up, sitting up and rubbing his head, squinting about in complete confusion. ]
Ugh, what in the--? Ow.
[ Yes, he just pinched himself. ] Guess that means it's not a nightmare. Where the heck is this?
And why is it so cold?!
((OOC: Aaah, intro!post for Zuko, and hoping I've done it correctly ^^; Ummmyeah~ So here ya go, have a confused frozen Firebender who'd love an explanation~ ))

Re: [Action]
And Wrath continues to slash in futility with one arm--the other frozen useless--but he swings with no less ferocity, though the exertion of cutting hundreds of times against the barrier is sapping his energy. He drills his poison gaze at the human behind the alchemical wall, both eyes, the 'human' one narrowed, the Ultimate Eye bulging out of his charred head, dripping with sweat.
But then.
Wrath spied the girl move behind the barrier.
So it does not protect the flank, Wrath observed, and shifting his weight in one fluid movement, throwing one crispy leg back behind him, he lunges around the barrier at human speed, bringing his sword out and up over his shoulder. The Eye zeros in on the two targets--
He is going to cut them in one stroke. The girl withdrew the barrier, presumably so they can escape. This is the end.
When the cursed alchemy from the key-shaped weapon envelops him--covering too wide of an area to be avoided---
This time Wrath takes the full brunt of the girl's alchemy, and artificial muscles, sinews, slowed, brain signals fire with less frequency, nerves refuse to work at maximum capacity--
But the alchemy, as powerful as it is--cannot 'stop' him fully, so terrible is his fury. Wrath's swing--is now cut down to regular speed but it is still moving, bringing his blade_within_an inch from their throats.
[Action]
[She wasn't expecting that- or she was, but not to the degree that it came. Arms jerked, bringing hey Keyblade down to block the incoming sword with barely a hair's breadth-- Her arms shook with the force behind it- the body of the homunculous was nearly twice the size of her own, and charred or not, it held a lot of strength. She had to move quickly, if she wanted to do her job before Slowaga ran out. Should have used a Stopga.]
[With a mighty heave, she urged the weapon off, ducking under-- probably at the cost of her shoulder, to slam her palm against the creature's burnt chest. A might burst of white magic would shatter against him; another Blizzaga. She had to freeze more of him, force it out across his chest, lock his shoulders in place, his hips, to keep him from moving. If it worked, he would be virtually incapacitated for a good ten minutes. Enough time for her to get his ass in jail. And maybe freeze him over again if he decided escaping would be a good idea.]
[Zuko, you better be out of range, damnit.]
Re: [Action] last edit!
You are quite the fighter, alchemist.
( Wrath's voice--in contrast to his rage contorted body, was low and calm, edged with a volcanic growl, slow and crawling under the effects of the alchemy.)
(The girl's forceful deflection brought Wrath's weapon away from the targets' throats down to Wrath's hip, and, still slowed, he reoriented the blade from off-line back into a straight, lethal line headed straight towards the girl's head--but the girl had ducked--in the process, she had scored her narrow shoulder on his blade.)
The girl was finally wounded. His bloodlust rose. Wrath turned his sword so that the sharp true edge was plunging slowly to her back, when--
Wrath felt the girl's small palm contact as strong as she can against his scorched chest. He feels the ice invade his chest, encase his shoulders, gripping the upper half of his body, stiffening it, and his sword drops out of his hand as it ices over.
Wrath's right pupil shrinks in his burned head. The ice does not stop at his chest and shoulders, coming from point-blank--it freezes his entire body, and he stands there for a few moments before falling in a block of ice into the snow. As inhuman as he is, his body freezes up as easily as any man's.
(The second most powerful Homunculus lays immobile in the snow, his expression frozen as well--in a cold glare of contempt for the two children.)
[Action] Sorry for the lateness, guys. Crazy busy weekend~
Really, it's the only reason he stands down. Zuko isn't really one to like being 'saved', but in this case, it might be smarter to understand first how things work here. Once that thing is frozen, he moves forward again warily. ]
Did you kill it?
You're wounded.
[Action] No worries <3
[And she's not. Not even close.]
[It's a gruesome scene to watch as the beast of what might have been human froze over. And she's entirely glad it did- her magic energy depleted considerably, already having been low from earlier in the day. But as the 'man' thuds to the snow, solidly frozen, she lets herself relax.]
Tentatively, she dismisses her weapon, if only to bring her hand up against her bloodied shoulder. That arm was immobile for now. -- Zuko's voice brings her back around.]
He's not dead. Just.. Frozen. I'm glad you're okay. [Because if you weren't, she wouldn't be taking the moment to breathe.] I showed up here with worse.
[It was a lie, but that was okay. She'd have a friend come pick her up later.]
What happened? How did you end up fighting? [A furtive glance back at the frozen creature. She'd need to chalk up Magnera to get him to the station.]
Re: [Action] Welcome back! ^^
[Action]
[Zuko sounds aggravated, but who can blame him? Still, he's not at all happy that she got hurt helping him. He sighs.]
I could've handled myself.
[awkward pause. he should... thank her, shouldn't he?]
But... thanks. For taking care of it-- What are we gonna do with it, anyway?
What is it?
[...]
There are medics in this place, right? You should get that shoulder looked at...
[Action]
I'm sorry I interfered, but it's my job to keep people safe here.
[That included new comers and people who'd been here much longer than she.]
I have to take him back to the Station. I'd prefer if you came with me--[He should, but...]--As long as you're up to it. I'll need to write down what happened. It's warm in the Station, at least?
And I can help you find somewhere to stay for the time being, afterwards?
[Erk]
I know healing magic; I'll be alright, don't worry about me.
[Well. Terra did. Aqua wasn't sure she had it in her for another heal-- not if she had to drag this hunk of ice back to the Station. Speaking of which- Aqua resummons her Keyblade, a different one; Master Keeper. It had a much higher Magic output than her regular Rainfell. One point of her arm, hand bloodying the grip, and Magnera was casted upon the ice block. Time to haul it back.]
That was a pretty impressive display of Fire you did, by the way.
[Only one other person she knew who could play with fire like that.]
[Action]
[he offered a hand, looking dubious about the 'healing magic'. What, like Katara's?]
It's called Firebending. What was... the thing you were doing? ...things. That wasn't Firebending, but you were using lightning-- and ice. That's not even possible.
[Action]
[Instead she smiled. Firebending, hm? Maybe that's what Axel was doing.]
I know a lot more magic than just those two elements. [She motions back to the block of ice briefly.]
Magnet is an element, even.
[With the magic activated, she pulled her Keyblade forward slightly. The block of ice slid forwards, after it. As if pulled along by some magnetic force.]
[Action]
[okay, maybe this is a bad time to argue. Zuko shakes his head, eying the moving icething distrustfully.]
You're bleeding. How long will that stay frozen?
[Action]
It's still winter, so.. Unless someone puts a fire under him, it should be a little while. [The higher ups might want to thaw him out sooner, but she won't mention that.]
I'll be alright, really. [Do we have a new Mom in our dear city, Zuko? Are you up to the job?]
[Action]
Then wrap your shoulder up with something. It's too cold for you to be losing a lot of blood.
Re: [Action]
[Action]
The Station isn't far..
[But since he won't stop bothering, she'll grit her teeth and cast a low level heal upon her shoulder. It slows the bleeding considerably, but now she's depleted. The glaring ice block behind them stuttering, nearly halting it's tracks again. But she kept trudging on, unwilling to leave her new prisoner behind.]
